Let Us Serve God!

Robbie L. Rogers

Concerning the things of life and especially ECUSA, and AMiA, with-respect-to preaching the Gospel of Truth and True Ministry, vs hypocrisy, bureaucracy and wrong theology.

"Unless you are faithful in small matters, you won't be faithful in large ones. If you cheat even a little, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities." Luke 16:10

I know what ECUSA professes to be about and the fruit of many of those things, some of which are good and acceptable for use in the Kingdom of God here on earth. Many though are the fruit of the flesh, rather than the Spirit. We all know what the gifts and the fruit of the Holy Spirit are, and to that of Christ's true evidence in our life, producing fruit for nurturing and raising up the Lost and Found peoples of the earth. What concerns me is who we are currently serving. Jesus? Or, the Church?

Anyone who knows me knows what they see is what they get. I am not a complicated person, 99 percent of me is exposed. Nevertheless, that one percent looms big on occasions. How to die totally to flesh is an astounding prospect and can only be accomplished through the grinding years of serving a Christ who is united with God and Holy Spirit as One Being, One God. This I have been doing for over 30 years in Lay Ministry, and as one of the early Lay people to sign 1st Promise, I support the efforts of AMiA as well as those who feel God is telling them to stay in ECUSA and fight the good fight; nevertheless, the Apostasy will come. Who you may or may not say that I am is superfluous; I cannot kid a sinner nor a saint, nor do I wish to. Instead, may my actions and my deeds show who I am in love with, who I depend on, who I am serving.

"No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other." Luke 16:13

I am fearful indeed. Though I am firmly entrenched, involved, and behind AMiA, I remain as I was with ECUSA, a Watchman on the wall. Woe to us if we travel the road of serving a Bureaucratic Church in our attempts to buildup AMiA.

We say this and that... but if our actions... our fruit do not show forth now and rapidly increase rather than does the speed of our organizational development of bureaucracy, our lining up Religious "Ducks," the act of staying busy ordering and rearranging offices and conundrums, spending great efforts on meetings and discussions, considering and dealing with the wrong things, how then will we be other than of little service to the Lord; and, worse yet... who is our master?

"You like to look good in public, but God knows your evil hearts. What this world honors is an abomination in the sight of God." Luke 16:15

I write these things at great risk, not saying or accusing; but as a watchman, I cannot remain silent, I must issue a warning and plead that we take it to heart in prayerful consideration. We must serve God and not man.

"If you claim to be religious but don't control your tongue, you are just fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.  Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God our Father means that we must care for orphans and widows in their troubles, and refuse to let the world corrupt us." James 1:26,27

If we, instead of being true to the word, follow after other gods, idols, or bureaucratic mishmash, what difference will we make on a lost world? Israel ran to and trusted in the world continually and was held captive by Egypt for 400 years. I believe Jacob was sent to Egypt from the springboard of evil in the camp of the Lord's elect simply because God knew their hearts, and that Israel would go seeking the evil kingdom, the world and its wisdom, for what they were needing at the time, unwilling to wait on the Lord. God knew their hearts before they knew the choices they would make and much struggle ensued before they would be forced to leave their safety of Egypt (ECUSA). He had to drive them from their safety net (ECUSA). Their trust was not in Him but the world (ECUSA). They had become slaves to the world they were called to separate from. God intervened as He did so often in the past and does so even today (AMiA).

"Then Israel will no longer be tempted to trust in Egypt for help. Egypt's shattered condition will remind Israel of how sinful she was to trust Egypt in earlier days. Then Israel will know that I alone am the Sovereign Lord." Ezekiel 29:16

As it was and is with His people, He hears our cries in prayers of fasting and repentance only if we turn from our wicked ways. Is ECUSA our Egypt? Has he given us a way out with AMiA and will the fall of ECUSA be as it was in the days of Nebuchadnezzar and Babylon, so there is no returning? Yet, unless we throw off the old ways and pick up new wineskins, what will be the difference, ECUSA/AMiA?

Jesus turned water into a powerful but sweet new wine. God has given us the same chance, creating new wine from the true Living Water and His Truth. Let us not corrupt it by melding the old wine, old theological bureaucracy, the world's detractions, with our new God consecrated ordained wine. Conversely, let us not forget where we came from, keeping the good that is His, and throwing away the encumbrances that are the world's.

God's Kingdom is here, let us embrace it with a ministry and action that is True Religion. Jesus promises He will reject those who do not know Him; those who do not do the Father's will; He promises to embrace those who do His will, that of serving in the place in the vineyards and in the position or service He chooses for us to be found in, making our new wine to Glorify Him instead of man.

"Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, 'Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his demons! For I was hungry, and you didn't feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn't give me anything to drink. I was a stranger, and you didn't invite me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me no clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn't visit me." Matthew 25:41-43

Let us reject the temptation to reestablish our own brand of Egypt, our own brand of bureaucratic lunacy. Let us go forth proclaiming the Good news, a Good News without the edifices of man and his attempts to prove himself important. Instead let us raise up ministers of the Lord, and send them out to the people who needed it.

So I ask of the 33 AMiA Churches, how many new churches have you started since the Lord set you aside and consecrated you for His service? Then, let the leadership of each of the 33 AMiA Churches ask their members, how may new Christians have you brought to the Lord's saving grace, through His leading and direction since becoming part of AMiA? Why else would He have placed us here, for such a time as this?
