DO ALL THINGS REALLY

WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD?

We Christians tend to use these words when we are trying to reconcile some less than a happy event that is happening to us or someone else.

If we were more careful to quote the complete verse from which it comes and then add the following we would be accomplishing our purpose.

From the Amplified Bible we read the following  from Romans 8:28; "We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a  plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and  purpose."

In verse 29 we continue to read, "For those whom He foreknew [whom He was aware and loved beforehand]. He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren."

DO ALL THINGS REALLY WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD?

Capt. Ben Marler, Jr

When God allows bad things to happen to us or to others, isn’t it for the purpose of changing us into the image of His Son Jesus? Once, I believe the Lord told me “People do not change people. God changes people and change normally follows trouble.”

Do you think He is right?

I know He is!

There are very few of us who want to change. We like how we are and besides we hate to change.

If you will step back and look at your life from God’s viewpoint you would change your mind quickly. How do you think you and I would fit into the Heavenly Company if we were to arrive there as we are now?

I know for a fact God needs to make more changes in me. Since I continually ask Him to make them, He has been very gentle with me. If I were to resist Him, because of His love for me, He might use some more drastic measures. These, I do not want to experience. I bet you don’t want to either.

So, what does this mean?

It will mean very little to you if you are not “born again” of the Spirit of Jesus. He said we must be “born anew” in John 3: 5-8. Please read for yourself what the Ruler of the Universe has said and quickly agree.

Did you know His Spirit is everywhere all at the same time?

He is standing right next to you as you read this. You can surrender to Him
now. It is very important you understand His suffering on the Cross for you, before you do. When you or I see Him dying in our place, in order that The Father could one day accept us into His family, your love will flow naturally to Him.

Make sure you clearly understand, none of us can save ourselves.

We have nothing to offer that will take away even one of our countless sins. If we were to live a thousand years doing “good deeds” we would still be lost.

It takes the Precious Blood of Jesus to remove or wash away sin. He has made it very clear if we are not washed in His Blood we will not live with Him in Heaven.

So please today give your thankful heart to Him.
