What is the conflict between science and theology? If God is omniscient and science is knowledge, would they not be in perfect agreement? The problem must lie between in the translators of the Bible and the scientists, not science and the Bible. There are as many different opinions among the translators and scientists as there are translators and scientists. They cannot all be right.

Although Darwin had been a Christian, he no longer believed in God when he became an adult and developed his famous theory. The real problem came, not from Darwin, but from those who latched onto his “findings” and labeled them “science”. To accomplish this, they must declare the Bible obsolete, and set about banning it from the public domain..

When Columbus sailed to the West Indies he proved that the earth was round, not flat, according to the “science” of the day. Astronomers of the same period stated positively that there were only 1,100 stars in the heavens. They also believed that the earth sat on a large animal, or on the back of Atlas (so on what did they stand?). When people became sick they were to be bled, not given blood.

The Jewish scriptures, written before the Birth of Christ, had taken a different point of view. In Isaiah 40:22, we see that God sat on the arc or circle of the earth. Jeremiah 33:22 states that there are, not a little over a thousand stars in the heavens, but billions of them. We discover the earth’s free float in space from Job 26:7. Leviticus 17:11 talks of blood as the source of life, so why would anyone bleed life out of a person?

It is not science that has changed, but scientists. Today they proclaim what the Bible has been saying for millennia: the earth is a sphere; there are billions of stars; the earth floats freely in space; and blood is the source of life, not death. The Bible has been more scientific than the scientists. It still is, but, still some scientists tell us that the Bible is merely theology, and must not be believed as truth. Whatever they say science says, is science. Really?

Harold Hill, a consultant for the space program, tells about astronauts and space scientists around the mid 20 th century. In checking the position of the sun, moon and planets to determine the lives of the satellites, they discovered an entire day missing. What a dilemma! Then one day one of the astronauts found it – in the Bible, of all places – 23 hours and 20 minutes, in Joshua 10:12,13, and the other forty minutes, in 2 Kings 20:10-15.

Wise King Solomon says, in Proverbs 1:7, that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Psalm 13:1adds, The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. Some intellectuals have stated that God does not exist, but I am constantly amazed at the caliber of the minds that believe that He does, and worship Him, as well. A building must have a builder, a painting must have an artist, and a book must have an author. Nothing can create itself, not the tiniest atom – only an intelligence I call God.

Whenever I hear the ravings of the cynics, I think of Job 38 and 39,which begins: Who is this that darkeneth counsel with words without knowledge? . . . . Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?. . . .Who shut up the sea behind doors when it burst forth from the womb? . . . .Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea, or walked in the recesses of the deep? . . . Have you entered the storehouses of the snow? … What is the way to the place where the lightening is dispersed? The list goes on. Surely those who doubt the existence of God have never read these two chapters. Can they really know with Whom they are dealing?

As we have heard, This is a free country. I can say whatever I wish, anywhere I wish. Not if you’re a Christian, for then you are confined to the church. Even there you can be bombarded with the world’s point of view. Planned Parenthood has moved at least one of their offices into a church.

Darwinians have invaded the sacred realms of God, and who dares to offend them? They have invaded the public schools and teach our children to disbelieve all they have been taught, and who dares to take offense? The pro-abortion industry has taken young girls to their clinics without even informing the parents that their daughters are pregnant. The clinics have prescribed RU486 improperly, thus killing the mothers, and it is considered no big deal. Some parents have resorted to home schooling because they are tired of their children becoming confused by mixed messages. It took an attack on that industry to bring about an outcry so fierce that the government had to back off.

Everyone has the right to believe and say whatever he wishes - it is a free country - but no one has the right to force our children to listen to their ravings and then make us pay for it. If Christians would work together, rather than apart, for the good of us all, we could move mountains – I know it. It’s happened before, and whether it will happen again is up to us, if we care enough. is time for us to do some offending of our own!
