We can all agree that our identity and self-worth are found in Christ Jesus, and not in hotdogs, but at the same time I find that "I wish I were an Oscar-Mayer wiener; that is what I’d truly like to be. ‘Cause if I were an Oscar-Mayer wiener, everyone would be in love with me."

With McDonald’s we all know that "We deserve a break today."

With the U.S. Army we are promised that we can "Be all that we can be."

We’re "in good hands" with whom?...Allstate. And like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.

Place your trust in Burger King and you can "Have it your way."

Trust Crest toothpaste, and "Look Ma! No cavities!" ... Trust M&M’s, "they melt in your mouth, not in your hands" . . . trust Timex, it "takes a licking and keeps on ticking" . . . trust Coca-Cola, "It’s the real thing" . . . And you know you can trust Motel 6, "We’ll leave a light on for you." Who "brings the good things to life?" General Electric does.

In whom, or in what, do you place your trust? There you will find your peace.

We hear the words of the world as well as the word of God.

Which do you believe?

Does your life reflect this belief?

It is hard to place your trust in God and rest in His peace when deep down inside you believe that "The best part of waking up, is Folger’s in your cup."

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
